More than 25 years ago, Winston-Salem Industries for the Blind realized an incredibly unique opportunity: to increase employment opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired through the manufacture of high-quality prescription lenses for eyeglasses. In 2017, we created the Twenty200 brand to help customers better understand the positive social impact of their purchases. While 20/20 is perfect vision, 20/200 is the threshold for legal blindness. The Twenty200 brand name is a proud declaration of our purpose: to envision a better world.
After decades of serving the employment needs of people who are blind, we’ve learned a lot about helping people whose eyesight is a pressing need. We’re now extending that knowledge to a retail shopping experience, where we provide frame-fitting expertise, lens selection advice and trusted brands for our customers.

Guided by our mission
Our parent company, IFB Solutions, created the Twenty200 brand to help customers better understand the positive social impact of their purchases. Every pair of eyeglasses ordered helps create employment for people who are blind or visually impaired.
Ken lost his job with a Fortune 500 company after his vision began to deteriorate. After applying to jobs all over the country, Ken was offered and accepted a job at IFB Solutions in our optical lab.
Scott served as a boiler technician in the US Navy in the ‘80s and ‘90s and after leaving the Navy struggled to find work as his vision worsened. He is now legally blind and works as a technician in the Twenty200 optical lab.
